Julia is an enthusiastic teacher who loves chemistry and interacting with students. She earned her master’s degree in chemical engineering in Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WUST) in Poland, then she crossed the Atlantic Ocean to obtain a doctorate degree in chemistry at Jackson State University (JSU) in Mississippi. Julia has been mentoring and teaching students since graduate school. In 2016 she received JSU Teacher of the Year Award and the WUST Distinguished Alumna Award. She is the author of Calculations in General Chemistry I Workbook and has authored multiple research papers in collaboration with her former undergraduate students.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her best friends: her spouse, kids, cats and a husky. Traveling, gardening and crafting are her other passions.
